God wants to do great work in us because he wants to do even greater work through us. But this is the truth; we grow most through tough trials, serious testing, difficult circumstances, and the desert and dry seasons of our lives. As a follower of Jesus, we need to stand firm and see testing as a way to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus. The desert-wilderness experiences of life force our roots to go deeper. Hardship and adversity make us press into faith, into Jesus, and into prayer.
