Even If

What does faith look like when God is able to change your circumstances—but you don’t know if He will?

In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are faced with an impossible choice: bow to the golden image or be thrown into a fiery furnace. Their response gives us one of the clearest pictures of unwavering faith in Scripture: “Our God is able to deliver us… but even if He does not, we will not bow.”

Faith doesn’t mean pretending the fire isn’t real. It means trusting that whatever is in front of you is not greater than the God who is with you.

In this message from our Clash of Kingdoms series, we see three truths about faith in the fire:

• Faith decides before the fire.

• Faith trusts God no matter the outcome.

• Faith knows the presence of the fire does not mean the absence of God.

There are moments when God delivers us from the fire—and moments when He carries us through it. But no circumstance is beyond His presence.

Fear asks, “What if?”

Faith says, “Even if.”

Maybe you’re facing uncertainty, disappointment, pressure, fear, or circumstances you cannot control. You can pray boldly and believe that God is able while still saying, “Even if the outcome isn’t what I want, my faith is still in You.”

Jesus never promised a life without fire. He offers us a life where the fire never gets the final word.
